Living in truth is the natural state; dishonest existence is inherently distorted and non-functional. Lies stand against reality; the truth aligns with it. We distinguish ourselves from evil by understanding and living in truth.

Faith in deception is a weakness, while faith in truth is a strength. Lies are no match for the natural incentives toward honesty and action and the intrinsic goodness of man. Those who trust lies are unaware it is their Achille’s heel. Truth wins every time.

But none of that explains the best reason to be honest.
